Crystalline Waterproofing Insulation | NAX-CWP
Crystalline Waterproofing NAX-CWP utilizes advanced crystallization technology to penetrate deep into concrete. Through a chemical reaction with moisture and the mineral compounds present in the concrete, it forms insoluble crystals that fill the pores and microscopic cracks, completely blocking the passage of water.
This feature allows the waterproofing system to become permanently integrated within the concrete structure, preventing water penetration even under hydrostatic pressure.
Product Description
In addition to its unique features, this product offers self-healing properties that enable it to seal hairline cracks up to approximately 0.5 mm, significantly increasing the durability and service life of concrete structures. Due to its environmentally friendly and non-toxic nature, NAX-CWP is highly suitable for use in drinking water tanks and sensitive structures. It is recognized as a reliable and cost-effective solution for protecting underground structures, swimming pools, tunnels, and foundations.
Concrete is porous, and the fine cracks within it act like tunnels that allow water and other liquids to pass through. Therefore, waterproofing after concrete placement is essential. Crystalline penetrating waterproofing (NAX-CWP) penetrates into the surface and, during the hydration of cement in the concrete, begins to crystallize and fill all pores. This ultimately increases the concrete’s resistance to hydrostatic water pressure (both negative and positive).
Applications
NAX-CWP can generally be used for any concrete structure requiring waterproofing, chemical resistance, and hairline crack repair. Examples include tunnels, elevator pits, water and wastewater treatment plants, basement walls, public parking areas, water supply channels, underground passages, water and sewage transmission lines, metro tunnels, residential or office complexes for utility areas, and all cementitious and concrete surfaces exposed to groundwater and negative moisture.
Key Features
Compatible with concrete and integrally bonded to it
UV resistant
Dual-sided waterproofing
Resistant to corrosion and weather conditions
Breathable
Non-toxic
Easy application
Surface Preparation
The surface must be dry and free from any contamination, dust, oil, grease, laitance, etc. Before application, light sanding with abrasive materials is recommended to clean and prepare the surface.
For more information, please refer to the Application Guide (AG).
Application Instructions
Mix the CWP coating with water at a ratio of 15 kg powder to 5 kg water. Apply with a brush at a thickness of 0.2 mm per coat. After the first layer dries, moisten the surface with water and then apply the second layer at a thickness of 0.2 mm.
The CWP coating can reactivate even years later upon contact with water and continue the waterproofing process. The prepared mixture has a working time of approximately 30 minutes at 23°C and 50% relative humidity.
